With our Flight Search Tool you can access all Government contracted domestic and international flights and fares including both direct flight and connection options for your specified dates of travel. This includes both flights operated by the eight airlines that have Government contracts as well as flights where these eight airlines are the marketing airline (codeshare flight) and the flight is operated by another airline.
We highlight in the flight results displayed to you when a flight is a codeshare flight and indicate to you who the actual operating airline is.
The eight airlines with Government contracts are – American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, Silver Airways, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.
We will provide you with the most current contract airfare rates and display the contract fares on each flight result, along with our Contract Flight logo. Please note that fares may differ for airports in the same city.
With our Flight Search Tool you can access all domestic flights of all airlines operating in the USA plus all flights worldwide between over 4000 airports operated by over 800 airlines. This includes all direct flights and connection options between USA and any worldwide destination for your specified dates of travel.
You can choose to see connection options on any city pair alongside direct flight options when searching for flights. Where no direct flights currently exist in a market we will automatically generate and display connection options for you.
We dynamically create connection options in real time when you send us a search query. In generating these connection options we use IATA standard minimum connect times alongside the custom minimum connect times that many airlines operate separate to the industry standards.
This means that every connection option we display for you is a legal, ticketable connection that airlines will guarantee, and where you will get thru check in and boarding passes for all flights and baggage checked to your final destination.
You can search one way or return and search on a city (for multi city airports like New York, Dallas, and Chicago) or search on an airport and dates of travel.
We then dynamically create and display all direct flight and connection options for your travel query with any Government contract schedules appearing first alongside the corresponding contract fares.
Once the results are displayed you have further sort and filter options.
by departure time earliest or latest
by arrival time earliest or latest
by duration – shortest or longest
by Fare type: Government contract or Commercial Fares
by direct or stopping flights
by time of day departures
by time of day arrivals
These are fares agreed with the eight appointed airlines for official government and military air travel at rates considerably lower than comparable commercial fares on thousands of domestic and international city pairs.
These fares are one-way and valid in either direction and with domestic fares all existing Federal, State, and local taxes and other fees and charges are included but exclude passenger facility charges, segment fees, and passenger security service fees.
For international fares estimated fuel surcharge fees are included but any applicable taxes and other fees are excluded.
The categories of contract fares are:
These fares are refundable/changeable, have no advance purchase/ticketing requirement, and have no capacity controls so there is no limit to the number of seats that the Government can purchase. These fares have last seat availability when booked on the contract holding airline. Code shares are exempt from last seat availability.
These fares offer the same flexibility as the YCA fares but have deeper discounts as they are capacity controlled thus limiting the number of seats that the Government can purchase.
These fares are only permitted when they are the most economical option or if the traveler meets certain agency-specific requirements and if "other than Coach Class service" has been authorized in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) (§ 301-10.123). Essentially, these fares are only available for high-ranking government officials.
These fares are available to the general public, may cost more or less than Government contract fares and may have advance purchase requirements, have certain restrictions applicable and may include cancellation fees.
We have partnered with BookingBuddy to provide you with commercial fares information.
Should you click on the Check Commercial Fares button after you have sent us a search query and have received back the results, we will transfer your search query (city/airport pair plus dates of travel and number of travelers) to BookingBuddy and you will then be able to select from a range of OTAs (like Expedia) or meta-search engines (like Kayak) to see commercial fares and options.
